This song was inspired by Mai's tumultuous 2023 where she had to heal and face herself. A change of environment, scenery and mindset has unleashed an unwavering want for Mai Moxi to go inward, clear out the mess, heal and address her inner turmoils to hopefully inspire others to do the shadow work as well. J. Dilla is Mai Moxi's favorite producer ever! While working from home or trying to get to sleep, Mai always cuts on her favorite J. Dilla instrumentals and enters a space of peace no other sweet sounds provide her. Mashing up her vocals over this J. Dilla beat in itself is therapy for Mai Moxi and an honest attempt to stay motivated to get back creating and unlock a new vibration of her channeling her most authentic sound yet.
